Late Night binging

I continue to sabotage myself. For every couple good days I have I'll blow it big.  Late nights are the worst.  I come home from work and go on eating auto pilot.  I have always heard the rule don't eat after 9.  When I try to stick to that I fail.  I have found what works better for me is planning my daily meals backwards.  I plan a 300-500 cal snack after work,  that way I have something to eat wen I get home that is part of my daily calorie intake goal.  I then look at the calories left and decide on dinner and lunch and breakfast based off the day ahead and when I can eat.  If i do this I lose,  if i try to not eat after nine a seem to fail. 
 
 On a positive note all the cardio I'm doing is working.  My resting heart rate is lower and the treadmill is having to maintain a higher incline to keep my heart rate elevated.  That is a good feeling, almost as good as the clothes getting looser.  I have a closet full of "Skinny" clothes I should be able to wear this summer.
