Congratulations!

First I want to start what may be my last post for the contest (I think I will keep blogging here if I can after) saying CONGRATS to Karin on her major success of completing her FIRST tri. I'm Jealous sounds like a blast.  I was cleaning my garage and had 2 old bikes in there I was going to throw away,  because of you I kept the best one and along with my training for the 2, 1/2 marathons I'm doing next year Id like to enter a Tri also and can use it for training I think.  So again thank you and congratulations!

As for the contest I am confident I will post another loss. Will it be enough to win? Don't think so.  Enough to place in the top 3? Doubt it.  But it will be another month with a loss. I had one poor month and 5 good ones.  I thank Laura for letting me in and I am now at my lowest in about 10 years and have the motivation to continue.

I didn't lose the speedy huge BIGGEST LOSER weight I had hoped but I think this is a good way  to do it and will keep it off this time.  I know I will reach my goal by cruise time.  I am running better, faster and more injury free than ever.  I feel great.  Have a ton of energy.  I am looking forward to Saturday morning.

The agenda for Saturday is a 2.5 mile walk to and from my 8 am weight watcher meeting.  Off to weigh in with Laura.  Set up the hall for  my daughters Grad party and enjoy seeing my family and friends for the day.

Good luck to all the other LOSERS!  See some of you in 42 hours

Great week!

What a great way to start the week.  Had a blast at the obnoxiously hot Johhnycake Jog,  Say that The lightenuppers where represented there and we all finished or events.  Beat my last time by 3 minutes.  I just signed up for a 1/2 marathon, the flying Pig in Cincinnati in May.  I'm going to do the Turkey trot 10K on Thanksgiving morning also.  The weight is barely moving but I feel great.  less than 2 weeks to go think I need to up the weight lifting with the running to burn more.

Johnnycake Jog

Did my last training run for the JC yesterday.  Was supposed to be an easy 5 miler just to get the miles in.  What it turned into was an adventure in pain.  From the first step I had extreme knee pain,  the worst I've had since running, heck the only I've had.  I made the whole 5 though which I was happy with and time was better than my first JC in '09  which speaks tons for my cardio.

I posted some pics of me and my grandson and the comments from my Fla family where nice about how much it looks like I've lost.  I don't see it, but I never do.  We are are own worst critics sometimes.

Now if the scale would just move.  the diet has been god the exercise there but the needle remains still.  ugh!!

Challenge Accepted!

Just read a great post by Michael Kadlub,  He challenged all of us to finish this contest strong and post as a group, all negative numbers.  I ACCEPT!  I sat down before reading the posts and was doing the math on the numbers so far.  I, As Michael stated have put myself behind the 8 Ball the last 2 months if I want to end in the TOP 3.  Taking first from Stephen would be a chore and will only happen if he slacks off, but not finishing better than 6th is unacceptable.  So far so good and 20 days left.

GREAT WEEK!

What a great week so far.  I have stuck with eating much better this week.  Lots of fruit and veggies.  Weight down every day.  Johnny cake jog coming up and right now I feel strong.  I think cardiovascularly I may be in my best shape since high school.  I'm hoping to finish in under an hour and 5 minutes, but we'll see.  Long weekend and the weather should be nice.

LIFE IS GOOD!
