Month3

Nice start to our third month.  Had a good (not great) weigh in on Saturday.  You'll just have to get the NH next Sunday to see how we did. I had a really good weekend,  maintained Calories and burned 660 cal yesterday .  Bench is climbing.  I just feel good.  Thank you Lighten up team mates (not opponents)  for the SPARK i needed.

EXCITED!

Love reading every one's BLOG's.  They really get me motivated.  Karin's are so entertaining.  If your not following them you should it really gives a snapshot into every ones trials and how others are coping with the same things I am.

Well couple days left and excited even though I have hit my dreaded Plataea.  It seems like my body fights breaking through this 260 barrier. I have tracked my weight for years as well as my daily intake avg.  I am finally done with all my BAD days my Avg cal/day is back to where I want it but the weight loss is minuscule.  Hopefully I'm building a little muscle and that is the reason.  I have not been below 260 in over a year and my lowest was in Aug of 2009.  I was hoping to break that this week but it doesn't look like it will happen.  Still hoping to drop 4-5 more by Saturday, I think i can.

Looking forward to seeing all on Saturday.
Good luck everyone!
Michael

Day 3 & 4

Well so far so good.   As the subject shows I am through day 4 of my back on track.  1 week till weigh in and looking forward to it.  I am back on track.   Calories in range hit the weights and dreaded elliptical and back feels good.   It wont be another 20 lb month but if I can maintain a 3 lb / week avg thats my goal.

DAY 2

Well if you read yesterdays post you know that if I made it through yesterday without binging I would call it day 1.  Came home from work last night had a bowl of oatmeal and went to bed under calorie range for the day.  So begins day 2.  If i stick to my menu today I'll be under again.  With the help of my wife, who's making breakfast and sticking to all my annoying measurements I ask for,  I should have no problem.

Still Struggling!

I keep taking 2 steps forward and 1.5 back.  I feel like this month I am sabotaging myself and can't stop.  I am having a real hard time mentally being limited to only elliptical at this point.  I was doing so well running and was feeling great lifting. This has just been a huge disappointment to me.  I am letting it seep into my intake as well not keeping the tight reign on my calories as I should. I see doc tomorrow and have had ZERO back/hip pain in the past 2 weeks he said we will discuss exercises to add back little by little.  I'm begging for the BIG 3, bench, squat and dead lift.  Give me those back and I'll give up the running (for now)  and pretend to like the dreaded elliptical machine..  So far today calories have been well under, now to go home and not binge will be the key. I'll call it day 1. I have 11 days to fix this!

Where does the motivation go!

Old habits die hard!.  I am really starting out slow this month.  Like my co competitors, Barbara and Keith I'm really having a hard time this month.  Not staying on y calorie goal well and it is liberal,  and I have only exercised twice.  There is no excuse.  I'm Hoping putting this in writing will help to purge my laziness demons and get me moving again.  Would like to match last month numbers and at this point it doesn't look good.

Bob Harper!

My post is simple today and after reading posts I think its for all of us in this "contest ".  It's a quote from Bob Harper on The Biggest Loser

" It's not about winning a contest but about fixing what's broken "

Slacking!

Well first blog of the week.   Terrible.   I had a good month last month ( so get this Sunday News Herald to see how good ) but even though I've been cleared to do elliptical since last week I have yet to drag myself to the gym.  My personal watchdog/daughter told my buddy of my self negligence and boy did he leave me a voicemail.   Thanks Dave,   I needed that.
Im falling into my all or nothing mentality,  I've only been cleared for elliptical and not lifting and am bummed about that.   I will use the elliptical as long as I would of been at gym For both!  There I said it now ill do it.   That will be my next post.
