frustration!

This month has really been a weightloss struggle.  diet has been pretty good and Excercise good too.  I think I need to go back and look at my notes.  I need a change somewhere. I cant break this plataue and am playing with the same 6 lbs up and down.  I need more hours in the day or a stay at the Biggest Loser campus where lifes only worry is which machine to use now.   Well that isn't going to happen so I need my own last chance workout in the next 2 days before weigh in.

Late Night binging

I continue to sabotage myself. For every couple good days I have I'll blow it big.  Late nights are the worst.  I come home from work and go on eating auto pilot.  I have always heard the rule don't eat after 9.  When I try to stick to that I fail.  I have found what works better for me is planning my daily meals backwards.  I plan a 300-500 cal snack after work,  that way I have something to eat wen I get home that is part of my daily calorie intake goal.  I then look at the calories left and decide on dinner and lunch and breakfast based off the day ahead and when I can eat.  If i do this I lose,  if i try to not eat after nine a seem to fail.

On a positive note all the cardio I'm doing is working.  My resting heart rate is lower and the treadmill is having to maintain a higher incline to keep my heart rate elevated.  That is a good feeling, almost as good as the clothes getting looser.  I have a closet full of "Skinny" clothes I should be able to wear this summer.

INSANITY

The definition of insanity is to do things the same way expecting different results. So this week I did things differently. Only had one day outside my calorie goal.   Even got to the gym twice this week in the morning.   So the scale is moving again. Time to bowl.

April 3rd.

Great article on all of us today in The News Herald.  Congrats to all but especially Stephen and Jim.  I just got done catching up on my BLOG reading.  I love them.  Knowing I'm not struggling alone helps.  Last week was good and bad for me.  I did great on exercise and maintained a negative cal balance but the scale didn't notice.  Don't get me wrong I still lost and am happy but not as much as I wanted.  I guess the Biggest loser, which I love, has warped my realism meter.  I did make my goal for the week but still wanted more.  It's a new week and my work schedule is back to normal thank goodness Which means my workouts can be as well.  I agree with Stephens comments this week in the paper.  For me the cardio has been good but the basic lifting again is key.  The daily progression I see on the weights really keeps me motivated Which really helps the progression I see in the weight on the scale.

I absolutely enjoyed this months video interview.  Does anyone else wonder how many people follow these blogs besides us.  Just a random thought.

The anal analytical side got the best of me this today and I had to create a spread sheet (I love spread sheets) of our progress.  amazing how close we are.  this is one tough group.  if interested I posted below,  If not stop here. lol
