BIG DAY!!

Today is our first weigh in.  Can't wait I've had a really good week and am thrilled with my progress so far.  For having 2 weeks of NO exercise I think I did well with the calorie adjustments.  The best part I was not hungry.  I'm giving myself enough to be satisfied and still lose.  You do need to starve just take in less than you burn.  Wish me luck today.

Back in the game!

Well this is day two of feeling the best I've felt in 6 months.   Not an ache or pain to speak of.   I think the magnesium and B1 have helped the headaches too.  I've been given the green light on exercise.   No more running which is very disappointing.  Will start with elliptical again and back to the weights.
Weigh in this Saturday actually very excited to see how everyone is doing and how I stack up!

What a week

Well here I sit waiting on a tow truck!   Exclamation point on my week.  The pain in the hip from the slip last week I come to find is actually a bulging disk now.   Cant lift anything,   can't run,   heck it hurts to walk.   The good news is I  didnt let this beat me
First day I fell into a funk and resorted back to food.   Depressed I couldn't work,  or work out.   I only let that last a day.   I reevaluated my calories for a more sedentary pace for the moment and haven't gained.   I even have lost a pound.   The old me would of said whats the use and self medicated with food.
Now to get painfree back to work and the Gym.   Im still in this thing.

Week 2

Well week 2 almost over.  I've done fairly well up till today.  I have an exercise roadblock.  I fell and landed on my hip.  Difficult to even walk without pain.  Diet just became even more important.  Wish me luck.

SUPER Sunday!

GREAT day today.   Tons of support today on the article.   My daughter said she is going to track this change and make a scrapbook for me at the end.   She also has taken the role of my trainer very seriously,  helping me eat more clean and encouraging me to get the workouts in.
Made it through the Superbowl UNDER calories for the day.   Even with having some beers.   Im very proud of that accomplishment!

A BREAKTHRU!!

So proud had to tell someone, so I guess the world will do.  Last night had a pretty  crazy night at work, got home late, a bit frustrated and was sitting there unwinding.  I habitually got up to go make a few PB&J's,  yes a few not one, becaues in my world PB&J's come in pairs at least.  I stopped myself and went to bed instead.  Late nite binging is one of my biggest problems it snowballs.  Well the scale greated me with a smile this morning.  Off to the gym!

So far so good.

Day 4!!  Amazing how good I feel.  I forgot what my body felt like when I worked out.  So far I have a minni streak going,  I have done 30 minutes of excercise every day or more.  I want to see how long I can continue this streak.

The routine I think I've settled on thus far will be two fold.  1.  Back to my powerlifting roots.  One thing I took away from Jamie was the reminder that muscle burns way more calories than fat does so if I add muscle I can create a fat burning machine.  My goal for this is benching at least 275 for 5 reps by the end.   2.  I'm doing the Johnny Cake Jog!  There I've put it out there, now I have to.  It is the week before our final weigh in.  I did it in in 2009 and finished in 1:09:16,  my goal is under 1 hour.  Sounds like a lot but I think with the weight drop which should increase speed about 2 sec/5lbs and 6 months of training it is achievable, though it will take commitment.

Continuing to use SPARKPEOPLE and started using my RUNNERSWORLD tracker again.  I am a numbers person.  I like to see improvement through numbers and plan it out.  makes me feel in controland I need to be in control of my wieght or my weight is a beast that runs wild.  I track everything.  BMI,  CAL in, Cal out,  AVG daily calorie balance.  I know I'm crazy I enjoy it. LOL
