Better late than never!

Weigh in is over.  Yes I lost but didn't even make up last months gain.  I have really put myself behind the eight ball.  As I was leaving weigh I saw Stephen walking in,  He looked good.  i need to pull the stops out this month if I want in the top 3 much less a shot at the top.  Friday night, before weigh in I did some review of the records I'm keeping.  My exercise is good but lord I'm struggling with the food.  Saturday morning I re joined weight watchers. It's been a couple days now and really like the points plus system.  lets see if this doesn't help.  Still running, getting ready for the Johnny cake jog.  Lifting some too, Stephen is right if you add some weight training with the cardio it relly helps,   this may be what Jim needs to get his < 300.

Frustration

Another weigh in is days away.  I am down but no where near what I had hoped.  It is like my body has just put the breaks on.  Since I have started traing for the jouhnnycake it has started losing again but now it is 10 ths of a lb at a time instead of 2 or 3 lbs at a time.  I wish I had the time to spend hours at a time in the gym like you see on Biggest Loser, but that is one of the problems with that show .  It sets such unrealistic expectations.  I know the way I am losing is good for me and increases my chances of it staying off but boy is it frustrating. 3 days and a wake up.

I DID IT!

I Just submitted my Registration for the Johnnycake Jog.  Added motivation to keep running.  Feels good right now.  Going to do everything in my power to keep the back from going out again.  Looking forward to seeing The other Lighten uppers there too.

Johnny cake jog

Looks like some of the other lighten uppers and myself will be doing the News Herald Johnny Cake jog/walk.  Should be fun to have some like souls to be nervous with before the gun.  got  2 my second easy run in 2 miles no walking at a slow pace.  Hopefully the training will help pull some of this weight off too.

Consistency

This post is a reminder to myself.  I have been very inconsistent in my efforts.  Since the weigh in I did well at working out Consistently 3 times a week.  I read or article Sunday and its amazing how seeing my poor results in black and white print makes me feel accountable.  Today was my third day in a row not 3 days in a week.  I woke up @ 6:30 (not easily mind you, but I did do it) and did thirty on the treadmill on a cardio routine.  It really felt great and was glad I went.  I lifted again yesterday for the first time in a while.  I had only been doing cardio and my weight loss has slowed (reversed)  so I am adding back in the heavy lifts every other day.   I am tight and sore today and boy is it a welcome feeling.  I plan on getting up @ 6:00 am tomorrow to get my lifting in, in the morning since I wont be able to any other time.  Forcing myself to do these things consistently I hope will reestablish the pattern I have let fade and help me finish these last 60 days strong.  There is some tough competition in this group,  you can see the results each month and an added spring in the contestants steps.  I have set myself up a tough challenge with 60 days left to meet my goal.  I'm up to it!
